Elm Apartments [ 37F | res | pro ]

“Elm apartments” isn’t the real name of this project, but we call it this because of 2 beautiful old elm trees, located at the main entry to the development. These giant trees we looked to retain, shaping the building and drop-off areas around them, using them as a key feature of the development, symbolizing the “green” building we collaboratively designed with our Philippine clients.

Project “elm” apartments is a high-end, premier grade Residential development located in Cebu, The Philippines. The project is part of an existing shopping centre complex, located a short distance from Metro Cebu.

An important consideration in the design was creating a sense of community, whilst maintaining the privacy of residents and separating the entries to the residential development and existing retail shopping centre. The design looks at creating its own distinct modern character, whilst blending in with the overall architectural mood and character of the existing development.

Key features of the design include; unique entry experiences for condominium residents and signature retail entry, retaining 2 large elm trees, communal green sky gardens to residential floors, landscaped podium amenities and exclusive rooftop amenities, including a wet edge pool and bar area.
